Jones Bros Works Manager Stephen Williams has achieved his NEBOSH certificate in health and safety.
He took 12 months to complete the course, supervised by the industry-recognised Hanson Safety Training Centre in Crewe.
NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) was formed in 1979 as an independent examining board and awarding body. It provides globally recognised qualifications in occupational health, safety and environmental management.
Stephen has been with Jones Bros since 1998 and has worked for the company at sites across the UK. He is currently based mainly in the south west, where his work involves assessments of health and safety procedures and systems at sites including Lean Quarry Landfill, Liskeard and Heathfield Landfill, Newton Abbot, both for Viridor Waste Management.
Stephen said: “Achieving this certificate is further proof to our clients that we operate to very high standards. It helps enhance the Jones Bros name throughout the industry as a reputable contractor. Clients can be assured there is a qualified, professionally trained health and safety person on site.”
Stephen’s son, Peredur, 20, also works at Jones Bros. He is currently completing his apprenticeship training as a plant operator, working at the Crystal Rig II windfarm.
