Plant Operation - Civil Engineering Plant and Construction Plant

Apprentices on this scheme will be working towards becoming experienced mobile construction plant operatives. Examples of the plant include 360 excavators, articulated dump trucks, telescopic handlers and loading shovels.

Qualifications Gained

  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Technical Certificate Construction Plant Certification Scheme (CPCS) Red Card – the Training Component.
  • Essential Skills Wales.
  • Peripheral qualifications including Health and Safety Awareness and First Aid.
  • NVQ Level 2.
  • Construction Plant Certification Scheme (CPCS) Blue Card – Competence qualification.

Training

12 to 15 weeks of training is provided to all apprentices in a sandwich course format at our training centre in North Wales. On the job training is provided at our construction sites throughout the UK.

Duration

The apprenticeship can take between 15 months and two years to complete.
