That’s magic: Jones Bros steals show at RenewableUK 20117th Nov 2011

JONES Bros brought a touch of magic to the UK’s biggest renewable energy exhibition by hiring a professional entertainer.

Carl Royle, one of the country’s leading cabaret magicians, ensured the Jones Bros stand was the talk of RenewableUK 2011 in Manchester.

His array of card tricks drew crowds of delegates and helped Jones Bros stand out from the 300-plus exhibitors.

A 3D holographic display projecting a series of images – including specialist plant machinery owned by the company – also helped to keep visitors entertained.

Jones Bros, a major player in energy and renewables infrastructure, has been a regular exhibitor at RenewableUK events in recent years.

Contracts director John Dielhof said: “Hiring a magician was slightly unorthodox but we like to do something out of the ordinary at these events and it worked well.

“There are so many exhibitors and you have to offer something interesting to grab people’s attention.

“Crucially, we made some interesting new contacts and were visited by some major players in the industry.”

Family-owned Jones Bros, which has its national headquarters in Ruthin, North Wales, has built a reputation as a leading wind farm balance-of-plant provider, having entered the market back in the 1990s.

As well as managing complex logistics for wind and hydro renewable energy projects, Jones Bros also provides infrastructure for nuclear, gas and coal generation.
