We are looking for an organised, capable and confident individual to join our dynamic organisation as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
The successful candidate will join our Commercial team reporting directly to our Commercial Manager. The successful applicant will assist with the provision in a commercial and contractual function on live projects to ensure project and business objectives are met.

The role’s responsibilities will include assisting on:
- Assist in procurement
of labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors.
- All Quantity Surveying
duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work elements.
- Assist with
preparation of interim applications for payment and internal valuations.
- Measurement and
agreement of subcontractors’ accounts.
- Preparation and
agreement of records.
- Assisting with the
preparation of final account, including pricing.
- Assist in the
preparation of monthly contract review reports
- Take an active role in
ensuring Health and Safety is managed effectively on site.
- Co-operates with other
departments and sub-contractors in Health and Safety matters.
- Any other reasonable
requests commensurate with role and position in the business.
The role is for permanent employment.
qualifications and capabilities
To be considered for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role the
following qualifications and experience are required;
- A degree or working towards completion of a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related subject.
- Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proactive and confident
