These skills and qualifications are being put to use to develop access roads across the 4,600-hecter Pen Y Cymoedd Wind farm site. This is a project we are completing as a joint venture with Balfour Beatty and will be the largest windfarm in England and Wales. He has achieved his Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) red card in 8 categories and in 2015 was nominated for Apprentice of the Year in the Construction News Specialist Awards 2016.

He is now working on one of our sites gaining experience as part of his apprenticeship.
“Working on a Jones Brothers site you can gain a wide variety of experiences and skills due to their multiple fields of work. Working as part of a team and getting to know different people all the time and also making new friends has made it a very enjoyable experience.”

“When I am on site, I feel at ease and in my element. I enjoy working as part of a team, as well as having the confidence and support from managers and colleagues alike at Jones Bros. I feel privileged to be working for such a high-quality organisation whereby I feel thoroughly supported, yet given the opportunity to complete tasks independently to develop and grow my skill set.”

“I considered all of my options after finishing my university course and decided to apply for a traineeship at Jones Bros and have gained lots of experience since then. People sometimes think quantity surveyors simply count bricks but there is so much more to it, with elements of the law, finance and planning with lots of opportunities for career development”

“Jones Bros has given me plenty of opportunities to build up my skills and experience.
